Why I Use Facial Rollers

By now you have probably seen your favorite bloggers using a facial roller, but do these really work? Well, about 5 months ago, after doing a lot of research, I decided to give it a try and see what the hype was about. I found many articles that talked about the tons of benefits, and since I’m always up for trying products to improve my skin, I decided to give it a try #shocker

I got two facial rollers. A Jade roller and a Rose Quartz roller. Initially, I bought these just because I love the power of these stones/crystals and loved the idea behind it. Jade is known to help relax the nervous system and eliminate toxins from the skin. While rose quartz is believed to lower stress, raise self-esteem, restore confidence and balance emotions. I also found out that Egyptians used rose quartz because its anti-aging properties.  However, besides believing on crystals I needed some facts, and I learned that both of these are packed with minerals (including magnesium, iron and oxygen) that help reduce inflammation and support renewal of skin cells.

After 5 months of using these EVERY DAY. Some nights/mornings I reach for my Jade Roller, other times I switch it up and use the Rose Quartz one. I can say that I LOVE them! I’ve seen an improvement in my skin. I feel It’s relaxing, soothing, and helps rejuvenate my skin every time I use them, as I see it as  workout for my face lol

I like to place these in my fridge and I use it before I do my makeup in the morning and before I go to bed at night.

In the mornings, I wash my face, use my Caudalie beauty water and then apply my Korres brightening oil and use the face roller to reduce puffiness and close up my pores before applying moisturizer, SPF and makeup.

At night, after I remove my makeup and wash my face, I apply the Korres brightening oil and massage for 10 mins before applying my serums and creams. I feel It eases product absorption.

Some of the additional benefits I’ve noticed are:

  • Combats under eye bags and dark circles- it feels so good when you massage your eyes with the cold roller!
  • Because of the movement- it stimulates lymphatic drainage, which reduces swelling and puffiness
  • Calms and cools my skin
  • Helps to brighten my complexion
  • Reduces appearance of fine lines- I’ve noticed this the most under my eyes!

Final Tips:

  • Make sure to roll “up and out” rather than down!
  • Clean it! You use this everyday on your face- so make sure you keep it clean!

I hope you liked this post, and let me know if there’s any new tool I should be spending my money on   😉

XOXO
