Magnolia

This trip has definitely been on the top of my destinations list for a while! I love Chip and Joanna not only for their amazing work but for what they represent as a family! My family and I have been watching their show for as long as I can remember, so when I saw that they bought the Silos and then the diner I knew I had to put it in my travel bucket list. My husband and I like to give each other traditional gifts for our anniversaries, and for our 3rd anniversary, he gifted me a tote bag with leather handles from Joanna’s Magnolia Collection at Target. Just in case you didn’t know, the traditional 3rd-anniversary gift is...

Our First Year of Blogging!

Today, marks one year since we launched our blog! Apparently, most bloggers quit before they get to the year point so it’s a big deal to celebrate your one year blogging anniversary! Hoy cumplimos un año desde que lanzamos nuestro blog! Aparentemente, la mayoría de blogueros renuncian a escribir antes de llegar al año, así que para nosotras es una gran meta poder celebrar nuestro primer aniversario! When Nats and I started talking about creating something together (years and years ago), we used to see it as a wishful thought, but then life pushed us to get ourselves out of our comfort zone and start with something! It didn't matter we weren't fully ready, or that we knew nothing about blogging- the...

Empowered Women in Small Business Spotlight: Daughters Legacy

November is National Small Business month; a month dedicated to celebrating the contributions and successes to those who are small business owners and are growing the nations’ economy. In honor of this month, Nats and I decided to create the Empowered Women in Small Business Spotlight series. We collaborated with an amazing group of fiercely talented women entrepreneurs, who have shown us that with passion, love, and resilience anything is possible.  These successful women entrepreneurs are creating better lives for themselves and paving the path for tomorrow’s women business owners, while also becoming powerful contributors to gender equality. We hope you get inspired by their stories, and that you remember that any dream can become a reality if you work hard...

London!

When planning my Euro trip this year, I knew I had to include London as one of my first stops. It was one of those places that some people love and some people hate, so I wanted to discover what this big city was all about and get my own opinion. This vacation was different than any other because due to workload, I wasn't able to plan as much as I usually do (remember I'm the #planningqueen), but this ended up giving me a new perspective on traveling by allowing me to go with the flow, and just enjoy instead of following an strict itinerary. I only had 3 days and I feel I wasn't able to explore as much...

#WhatLiftsYou

A couple of months ago, Nats and I went to NYC (you can see some piks  of our trip here) and walking through Nolita; we found  Kelsey Montague's street mural. A drawing of a pair of wings that invites the public to become part of the art itself, and of course we had to take a picture and be as touristy as we could. For many people,  this is just the perfect spot for an #instagrammoment, but as we walked away, it made me think deeper about the power of her message. The wings are meant to symbolize ways of being lifted, she even created the hashtag #whatliftsyou and started a positive conversation that had people talking about what inspire...

Empowered Woman Spotlight: Margaret Truitt

I met Margaret a few years ago when we were working for the same company, and we instantly clicked. She is one of those individuals who share her light wherever she goes, and her energy reminds you that the world is filled with beautiful people. When I think of women who I admire, she is definitely on my list. Not only for her transparency (which is super hard to find nowadays) but for keeping her light, courage, and faith despite what life throws at her. It's been about a year since Margaret decided to leave the corporate world behind and focus on her own business. I have definitely enjoyed seeing her evolve and become a powerful entrepreneur, full of fresh ideas...
