London Calling!

London has always been on my To-Do List, so I was super excited when my husband and I decided to go! We went in late October and it was extremely cold, so I would recommend going in September when Kat went unless you really really like the cold weather LOL! We had a blast during the trip, even though it was during the time that my all day “morning sickness” started #FoundOutRightBeforeTheTrip LOL. One thing to keep in mind that we discovered in London is that because they do daylight savings as well, we had to get up really early to sight-see because it would get dark by 4:00 – 4:30 PM because of the time change. London is also...

Our First Year of Blogging!

Today, marks one year since we launched our blog! Apparently, most bloggers quit before they get to the year point so it’s a big deal to celebrate your one year blogging anniversary! Hoy cumplimos un año desde que lanzamos nuestro blog! Aparentemente, la mayoría de blogueros renuncian a escribir antes de llegar al año, así que para nosotras es una gran meta poder celebrar nuestro primer aniversario! When Nats and I started talking about creating something together (years and years ago), we used to see it as a wishful thought, but then life pushed us to get ourselves out of our comfort zone and start with something! It didn't matter we weren't fully ready, or that we knew nothing about blogging- the...

New Year! New Habit!

Kats posted about goals last week so I wanted my post this week to tie in with hers. After all, it is a new year and it’s generally the time we all start making positive changes in our lives. My sister-in-law was talking to me last week about a psychology class she took recently, and one of the projects her class had to do was to stop a bad habit for a week. In the past, I have done personal projects like this one, but I wanted to share a little bit about our conversation with you guys, hoping it will inspire you to try this challenge as well! :)  I was intrigued by this topic because it reminded me of...

New Year’s Resolutions

It has been more than a decade since I started writing my resolutions before the new year, and I have saved every list ever since, so I thought I could share a little bit of my process when doing this and get you ready for 2019!  It’s crazy to see how every year my resolutions evolve, and also to see how the material things take a back-seat o my list with every year that passes by. The most inspiring thing for me is to open my resolutions from the year before and discover what I was able to accomplish and what still needs to be done. Here are some of the things that i do when working on my New Year...

Baby on Board!!

I am so happy to finally be able to share this exciting news, which by the way was sooooo hard to hide, especially when you have ALL-DAY sickness. I refuse to call it morning sickness when it’s an all-day thing! Even through the sickness, I am staying positive because of the beautiful gift it comes along with. I am 3 months pregnant and my husband and I are beyond excited and grateful for this new chapter in our lives. We still can’t believe it’s real LOL. God’s timing is so Perfect! It was an amazing gift for both of our families, and we were so thrilled to announce it on a beautiful day, which was Thanksgiving; A day to stop...

Empowered Women in Small Business Spotlight: Tatiana & Yessica

November is National Small Business month; a month dedicated to celebrating the contributions and successes to those who are small business owners and are growing the nations’ economy. In honor of this month, Nats and I decided to create the Empowered Women in Small Business Spotlight series. We collaborated with an amazing group of fiercely talented women entrepreneurs, who have shown us that with passion, love, and resilience anything is possible.  These successful women entrepreneurs are creating better lives for themselves and paving the path for tomorrow’s women business owners, while also becoming powerful contributors to gender equality. We hope you get inspired by their stories, and that you remember that any dream can become a reality if you work hard...

Beat the Impostor Syndrome!

I have been within the same company for around 6 years, and it took me a while to feel that I belong.  After some years, I started to feel more comfortable and my confidence increased. However, there were still times where the thoughts of me not belonging still reappeared. I work with brilliant people and sometimes I found myself asking if they are going to find out that I am not as smart or talented as they are. I have felt like a fraud. He estado en la misma compañía por alrededor de 6 años, y me tomó un tiempo sentir que pertenecía. Después de algunos años, comencé a sentirme más cómoda y mi confianza aumentó. Sin embargo, aún había momentos...

Discover Your Beauty!

Last Sunday, Kats and I were lucky enough to attend the Discover your Beauty Show; A show dedicated to Cancer survivors that invites a group of new designers to showcase their talents while supporting a good cause. The show donates part of the money to those battling and surviving Cancer. Let me just start by saying What a show! OMG!! It was amazing! I found out about this show through my husband, when he registered to be a volunteer photographer. I was obviously intrigued and eager to help, so Kats and I decided to sign up as well. This show takes place every year, so be on the lookout for next year if you are interested :) All donations made, go to cancer foundations...

Millennial Moms: Fabiola Marquez

Fabsssss is one of my oldest friends!! I literally even consider her my sister! We met in the 3rd grade and have been friends ever since. She used to sleep over at my house almost every weekend, and she would come to all my family gatherings. We used to do everything together. Since we spent so much time together, we obviously talked all the time. For this reason, I know everything Fabiola has been through, and how she has grown to be an excellent mother! From the very first day I met her, she knew, without a doubt, exactly what she wanted in life. She always said, “I will graduate high school, go to school to become a nurse, and...

The Comfort Zone- Where Magic Never Happens!

It took me a few years to realize how easy it was to stay in my comfort zone without taking any risks. Getting out of the comfort zone is not an easy thing to do, but it is one of the most important steps to grow. Having a “safety net” (family, friendships or a significant other) has allowed me to be successful when getting out of my comfort zone, as keeping stability and peace of mind to think about my next move, has been the most important ingredient to my recipe for success. My stability/safety net is my family, and in order for me to take any risk, I constantly remind myself that they will be there no matter the outcome....
