Working From Home 101

When I mention that I have the freedom to work from home to someone, they always seem to think I’m super lucky, they believe that working from home is waking up when you want, brewing some coffee, turning on your laptop, and lying in bed, clicking and writing for a few hours until you need a stretch. But is this the reality of working from home? No #facts As usual, the grass is always greener on the other side, and working from home is not as easy as it sounds. I still have to meet deadlines and expectations, and I think my level of responsibility has even increased since I have started working from home. I know that I must be...

Magnolia

This trip has definitely been on the top of my destinations list for a while! I love Chip and Joanna not only for their amazing work but for what they represent as a family! My family and I have been watching their show for as long as I can remember, so when I saw that they bought the Silos and then the diner I knew I had to put it in my travel bucket list. My husband and I like to give each other traditional gifts for our anniversaries, and for our 3rd anniversary, he gifted me a tote bag with leather handles from Joanna’s Magnolia Collection at Target. Just in case you didn’t know, the traditional 3rd-anniversary gift is...

My Go-to Inspirational Talks from Empowered Women

In Honor of International Women's Day, I’ve decided to share my top favorite talks given by empowered women. These speeches are all different, but they all have one thing in  common; They are given by inspiring women who have had to speak louder to get their voices heard. Throughout the years these talks have helped me to lift my spirit when I have needed it the most ( personally and professionally) and have inspired me to move forward in despite of challenges. Each of these women somehow are making a change in the world. Their acts have become motivation, their deeds have become an inspiration and their eloquent speeches have become words of encouragement for so many other women. I hope...

London Calling!

London has always been on my To-Do List, so I was super excited when my husband and I decided to go! We went in late October and it was extremely cold, so I would recommend going in September when Kat went unless you really really like the cold weather LOL! We had a blast during the trip, even though it was during the time that my all day “morning sickness” started #FoundOutRightBeforeTheTrip LOL. One thing to keep in mind that we discovered in London is that because they do daylight savings as well, we had to get up really early to sight-see because it would get dark by 4:00 – 4:30 PM because of the time change. London is also...

Our First Year of Blogging!

Today, marks one year since we launched our blog! Apparently, most bloggers quit before they get to the year point so it’s a big deal to celebrate your one year blogging anniversary! Hoy cumplimos un año desde que lanzamos nuestro blog! Aparentemente, la mayoría de blogueros renuncian a escribir antes de llegar al año, así que para nosotras es una gran meta poder celebrar nuestro primer aniversario! When Nats and I started talking about creating something together (years and years ago), we used to see it as a wishful thought, but then life pushed us to get ourselves out of our comfort zone and start with something! It didn't matter we weren't fully ready, or that we knew nothing about blogging- the...

New Year! New Habit!

Kats posted about goals last week so I wanted my post this week to tie in with hers. After all, it is a new year and it’s generally the time we all start making positive changes in our lives. My sister-in-law was talking to me last week about a psychology class she took recently, and one of the projects her class had to do was to stop a bad habit for a week. In the past, I have done personal projects like this one, but I wanted to share a little bit about our conversation with you guys, hoping it will inspire you to try this challenge as well! :)  I was intrigued by this topic because it reminded me of...

New Year’s Resolutions

It has been more than a decade since I started writing my resolutions before the new year, and I have saved every list ever since, so I thought I could share a little bit of my process when doing this and get you ready for 2019!  It’s crazy to see how every year my resolutions evolve, and also to see how the material things take a back-seat o my list with every year that passes by. The most inspiring thing for me is to open my resolutions from the year before and discover what I was able to accomplish and what still needs to be done. Here are some of the things that i do when working on my New Year...

Why I Use Facial Rollers

By now you have probably seen your favorite bloggers using a facial roller, but do these really work? Well, about 5 months ago, after doing a lot of research, I decided to give it a try and see what the hype was about. I found many articles that talked about the tons of benefits, and since I’m always up for trying products to improve my skin, I decided to give it a try #shocker I got two facial rollers. A Jade roller and a Rose Quartz roller. Initially, I bought these just because I love the power of these stones/crystals and loved the idea behind it. Jade is known to help relax the nervous system and eliminate toxins from the skin....

Baby on Board!!

I am so happy to finally be able to share this exciting news, which by the way was sooooo hard to hide, especially when you have ALL-DAY sickness. I refuse to call it morning sickness when it’s an all-day thing! Even through the sickness, I am staying positive because of the beautiful gift it comes along with. I am 3 months pregnant and my husband and I are beyond excited and grateful for this new chapter in our lives. We still can’t believe it’s real LOL. God’s timing is so Perfect! It was an amazing gift for both of our families, and we were so thrilled to announce it on a beautiful day, which was Thanksgiving; A day to stop...
