Japan Part II

And so we continue with my Japan journey! Just a reminder that traveling enriches the mind. I always like to encourage others to travel, anywhere around the world. You’ll gain an experience of a lifetime that will be unforgettable. #letstraveltheWORLD

PART II: Hiroshima, Miyajima, Osaka, My layover at the Great Wall of China

Day 9

HIROSHIMA

This was a must for my husband, and I’m so glad we went. This city was destroyed by an atomic bomb during World War II.  Now it represents “Longing for Peace”. The A-bomb dome is a symbol of humanity’s longing for a world free from nuclear weapons.

MIYAJIMA

Miyajima is a small island in Hiroshima Bay. It’s popular for the huge orange torii gate that sits in the water with a beautiful view. Here we stayed in a hostel, where we met amazing people.

Day 10

OSAKA

Known for its modern architecture and street food.

Day 11

GREAT WALL OF CHINA

This was a layover that we had on our way back home and of course, we didn’t miss the opportunity to visit the Great Wall! This was definitely one of the many highlights of the trip. I still can’t believe that we had the opportunity to see this beautiful destination! It was amazing to be standing on one of the wonders of the world, so much history. Since we were in China for less than 72 hours, there was no need for a visa. There are many tours online to choose from, I suggest you choose the one you like ahead of time because you have to show the receipt at the airport to be able to leave the airport and come back in.

This ends my trip to this fasinating country, that I hope one day you’ll have the chance to visit. 🙂

Arigatōgozaimashita (thankyou)

XOXO
